It didn't start or end with Common Core.  Over a Christmas break Republicans made it all possible with the ESSA - Every Student Succeeds Act.  They had 2 days to read a thousand page bill which made public education completely Federalized.  - Emmett McGroarty

Back in the 1850 - Horace Mann decided to Hijack Education, - His goal was to copy the Authoritarian Prussian Model of Education.  

Then John Dewey - The first to sign the Humanist Manifesto.  His Goals were:

Common Core came in as a Trojan Horse.  Unlike Obamacare - Health Care that was Transparent.  

Social Justice cannot pull children up it can only artificially hold children down.  

Outcome Based Education - Wants all kids to be the same - it doesn't matter their aptitudes or skill sets.  We can fight this with creativity.  

In 1961 was the start of Social Emotional Learning - SEL - Teachers with no training in psychology or socialogy are expected to data mine.  PBIS - data.

Arne Duncan in 2009 said it would be good is schools were open 12-14 hours a day. And to have 24/7 boarding schools since some kids are home alone.  (We have county and state agencies, why do we now need federal agencies.)

1969 - Said there would be clinics in schools/  - Why?  So now when 12 years olds and above need the Morning After Abortion Pill they can get it from clinics at school.  

NCSL - we will only know if it is effective in 10 years when curriculum is aligned with the test.  Tests are about aggregate data collection - They were created first. It isn't state led.  And they aren't higher standards.

There is no force strong enough on this earth to get your teachers to stop teaching towards the test.  

The same guy that wrote all the tests is now a CEO on the college boards re-writing and changing the SAT/ACT.  He has no background in education!  He is also in charge of all AP classes.  Clep out spend $100 instead of $4500 and you get brainwashed.

Christian History is not mentioned in European History, they white washed communism and they focus on the Welfare State.  Their are tons of pages on Clinton and the Inauguration of Obama.  

They gutted history and now teach:

• Capitalism vs. Free Markets
• Consumerism

Jason Simna wrote math standards.  said it is Minimal defition of college readiness. Not for STEM or SELECTIVE colleges.  AKA any that require pre-calc etc.  

Math is now written for readers rather than people good with numbers.  Makes them hate math.
